+ | Had a longer service this morning. Charlie got back last night about 11 p.m. Children put on too hot a fire at dinner and got pipes red - some excitement for awhile. Wrote to Mr. Caldwell and Mrs. McCarrel (Mary Green). Wrote card to Allie for Clare. Rowed up to Indian Channel with Charles to fish. No fish. I rowed all the way back (about 2 ½ miles. Wrote Sample love letter. Duncan, Jack & Charles played "Street" After dinner, Charlie, Jack & Duncan shingled Charlie's kitchen to-day. |
