Cool day. Worked in the garden for an hour and a half. Mr. Clifton has not come back yet so everything needs attention. Worked at my centrepiece for 2 hours. Called to see Jean Maxwell - nobody home. Winnie Barber called me as I passed so went in to see her for awhile - is sick - cannot teach for awhile - perhaps a year - has goitre & has been used up with Medicine to cure it.
