Mr. Leitch was driving Dr. Whyte (Chautauqua lecturer) over to Walkerton - took Charles along. Would have taken me had I been here. Charles got back about 7 p.m. We went to the Chautauqua Concery - Miss Christian, Vioilinist (very, very good. Had been playing to boys at front and to German army of occupation) and an accompanist. Chautauqua Closed. Had little fire in grate when we came home. |

+ | Charles felt sick (too much corn) this Morning so I fooled around over bath etc. Breakfast at 10 a.m. Fire in kitchen - very cool morning. Went down town for Meat. Raked the leaves and twigs off the Boulevard and burned them. Wrote to Frank, Aldyth Hooper (at Toronto Exhibition) and to Len Carter. Charles lay down after dinner and slept until 5 o'clock. Still feeling squeamish. I went down town for the Mail and to get some Seidlitz powders. Did my Memory Lesson and my Literature. Duncan |
