Dick and I both got up about six this morning, Dick went aroundby town to post a letter and I went home. I went through Martin's and fgot soaked on the long grass Dick beat me home. Huby didn't haver to go to work this morning as they laid the whole gang off last night on account of some unbusiness like bungle, so nomne of the householf=d was up.Aunty came out just as I was leaving to wish me a happy birthday, for it is just eighteen years ago to-day that I first squeaked. Dad. and Frank dod the chores nearly done when I got home. I got all sorts of presents from ebvery body. Dad. found my knife the other day that I thought I had lost on the hay, it was not hurt muvch. Dick did not hear about it till this. orning and had bought me a new one but he exchange dit for a necktie before le told me.
