He brought our disks back and borrowd our corn marker. I didn't help Dad. and rank much but hoe din my alfalfa most of the after noon. To-mnightDad. 7 Enah went down to a part at Aunty Alice's and Frank and I watched Tid. They were very late getting started as they had to wait till he went to sleep and a she had slept all the after noon he was in no urry about it. Frank wet in and lay onn the bed beside him and I read all I could find in the "Globe" on the conscription debate and then went to sllep in the chair. Sunny but cool be=reeze. |

| + | Dad. and Frankhave hauled manure all day and I have hoed alfalfa. The ground is very hard in spots which makes it a slow and tedious job but the hoe does much better work now that the Buko, in fact the better wouldn'twork at all in some of ther hard spots. We let the sheep in for about an hour to-day at noon on the oats in the plum orchard. One of the old turley hend ahas reappeared and has been wandering about the yard here for the last two days.
