and put on a five cent toll for tallking through different centrals, so nearly all the rural subscribers refused to pay and their 'phones have been taken out, and the subscribers are meeting this after noon. I shocked up as long as Bill was cutting and then came up and did chores till noon. Dad. went back this morning and rolled about half the field and started to harrow. This after noon he took four bags of seed and the drill back and put that much in. I harrowed what was rolled and then rolled a little more. Dad thought by getting that much in we could easily finish Monday. There has been a very high cold west wind all day.

Sunday October 2nd
