My tooth hurt so after I went to bed that I made up my mind to go down and get Bill to get the other root out to-day. We didn't get up very early and I spent the fore noon doing chores and sweeping the school-house but went down right after dinner. Bill said at first he couldn't pull it as it was too sore yet to monkey with but when he looked at it he said the gum had receded more than he expected so he did pull it. It was painful but came out with one pull. I went down to Aunty's for awhile afterwards and lay down and they tied my face up to drive home. It was very painful again to-night just before I went to bed but I eased it with Sloan's liniment and the hot water bottle. I thought he put a piece of cotton batten in it and as he told me last week to be sure and take it out before I went to bed I fished and prodded around with a darning needle for this piece but couldn't find it and neither could Marj. so I don't know whether it is there or I swallowed it.
Sunday March 8th
My tooth has been pretty sore all day and as Marj. hasn't felt up to much we just sat around and read most of the time.Dad. & Enah came over this afternoon to see how I was. I did the chores up early what few I did and when I came in to-night my face hurt so that I couldn't or at least didn't try to eat any tea. I lay down with the hot weather bottle and went to sleep and it was still buzzing when I woke up so I went to bed with hot water bottle and Sloan's and had a comfortable night. Marj. gave me a sample of her painkiller pills. Raw, wind & cloudy.
Monday March 9th
I did up the chores this morning and then went down to the dentists to find out if he had left anything in my tooth. It was nearly noon when I got there and I found a note on the door saying "sickness" so I went down to Aunty's and had dinner and then walked up to Bill's house but although I rang twice no one answered. Frank was at Aunty's for dinner as he and Dad. had been cutting wood down there. He drove home with me. I left Harry B at the farm while I was in town. I got a bag of sugar at Sam's for $1.65. Ina came this morning to sojourn with us till after Patrick's arrival. Ada called for her to-night and they all went over to Tom Hosie's for the evening. Beautiful day, very mild. Flossie was down here this after noon.
