Line 1: Line 1:
in order to pull themselves out of the hole She apparantly thought the same but she hasn't the strength to stand it and he being large and strong as a bull and like a bull being rather thick headed and unsympathetic has become impatient with her, till she through lonliness, home-sickness and general downheartedness decided the other day to leave the Dove-cote and so packed her grip and while he was off in the field walked out and he doesn't know where she is but Nina Stone thinks she has gone to her cousin's at Oshawa to wait there till her mother sends her money enough to return to England. I got my logs sawed the week after I took them to the mill and got over 1 {illegible} of very nice lumber and only had to pay $7.35 for having it sawed. Dad. helped me take my peas to the factory and Frank helped me with my alfalfa. I just had 2700 lbs of shelled peas which was a pretty poor crop, I think the hot dry weather forced them on to fast as the straw was very short and the pods small. The alfalfa looked to be as heavy as usual but it doesn't take up much space in the barn.
