We picked berries in a.m. men all ploughed. Douglas attended the funeral home of Thomas McQuay, Rev Rae, Rev McDonald, Rev Sellars took part in service. Newton called for Della at noon & went to the YPS picnic at. Men drew in 2 loads wheat this evening. Lorne called in evening. Douglas went out to store

<u>Busy day</u> started <u>threshing</u> cleared 7 acres & threshed 22 loads wheat the boys from home & <u>Leslie</u> was here. <u>Dorothy came up with John</u> & helped all day. we <u>picked berries</u>, made 4 lots bean pickle. <u>I took John car & took Laura & Mother to Yonge St.</u> <u>Phyiss Padget</u> here with <u>Betty</u>. <u>Florence C</u> up in evening. <u>Newton called for Della</u> to go to Jr Farmers.
Busy day started threshing cleared 7 acres & threshed 22 loads wheat. The boys from home & Leslie was here. Dorothy came up with John & helped all day. We picked berries, made 4 lots bean pickle. I took John car & took Laura & Mother to Yonge St. Phyiss Padget here with Betty. Florence C up in evening. Newton called for Della to go to Jr Farmers

Men busy threshing wheat, Roy's here also Dorothy. She & Della went over to Muriel Stivers to visit for the afternoon. Mr J D Mills called at noon with Dorothy ins policy later with a present for her. Lewis & Muriel brought girls home a night, finished threshing by 630, then they moved machine down. Lorne called in

Norm cut a field of mixed grain in a.m. Doug shocked. They all went down home & threshed all but 2 loads wheat, we picked berries in a.m. & did them up in p.m. also ironing. Boys & I did milking

Frid Aug 5 Weather - Quite warm S.W. wind. Rain at night Men finished threshing at home shortly after dinner, then they came up & brought tractor cut down field grain & started another. Della went down home after supper. Florence C here at tea time. Receipt. We all went to Richmond Produce - 66 dz eggs

Sat Aug 6 Weather - Quite warm Pat & Billie men finished cutting large field mixed grain. Doug & Norm shocked, we cut front lawn in p.m. Mr Hellems called after dinner. 4 dz eggs (Mrs Robins) Phyliss, Georgina & Doris Walton went there after dinner. Lorne over at night, also Mr & Mrs Dinsma

Sun Aug 7 Weather - Rather cloudy with light showers then warm Norm went to Grand Valley, Douglas & Maron went to city saw Bill M & visited at his mothers. Doug & I did milking. Lorne here for tea then babe & went down home with him. L & Della they went to Jean's. Jim McCartney called at noon

Mon Aug 8 Weather - Partly fair, rained in p.m. Men cut grain & shocked. Billie cut hay. They ploughed out potatoes in p.m. We washed, ironed, picked berries. Irene, Laura, Miss Head, Dorothy came in the evening, did hair & got berries
