Doug harrowed A.M. Norm off jobs, Pat cutting weeds with sythe. Started to bale wheat straw at noon, but when rain came stop then. <u>Della did not feel well</u> in bed all A.M. all went bed early.

<u>Norm & Billie ploughed in A.M. with horses</u>, Doug cut weeds along lane & in mangles. Douglas & Marion went down home to fix threshing machine. Norm went to Unionville at night. baled straw in afternoon.

men finished baling shortly after dinner, Doug went down with John & Newton to <u>shock grain</u>. Douglas, Norm & Billie <u>lumped hay</u>. Lorne & Della</u> went to <u>Garden party at Call Hood's, also Norm</u>. Produce, - 67 1/2 1 bus. apples. 61 1/2 Doz. eggs.

men busy threshing here, rain came after dinner & stopped it all. <u>10 girls planned to go to island in afternoon, Della sick, had Dr. McDonald</u> over at noon. Dorothy up in A.M. she left at noon, Mrs. Brown & Mother came at noon & stayed until Newt & Girls called at 11.15 p.m.

Men busy threshing here, rain came aftudiner and stopped at all. 10 quils planned to go to island in afternoon, Della sick, hael Dr. mcdonald over at moon and stayed newt and guile called at 11:15 p.m.

Doug had day of getting teethout, Douglas and mom upgrading machine ate all day. Dorothy and mother up with john in a.m. Dorothy alonged. jatt ended in insitiute at must curclies, went with charlie, heyal, coa ahaw. they called to see fate on the way home.

1932 Mother Birthday.

Tues Aug 9 Weather - Fair, partly cool with light showers at noon. men finished cutting grain at 4 p.m. the goose wheat & shocked then raked up hay. Della Kiddies & I drove down home Pat & Norm come down later, all there but Alex & Laura.
