AUGUST THURSDAY 10 1876
Get Horse & Buggy from Waters at 11 A.M.
Go to Tannery at 8. C Hughs come back on Cars at 9½ from Buffalo, still drunk. He leaves Tannery at 1145 A.M. & dont return till after 6 P.M. , very drunk I put Jas Kerr Engineer on as Watchman tonight.
I go to Clifton about Lime. see Thos. Willson & engage Lime at 25 per Bush. see Berryman on my return home Martha Smith goes up with me. Mrs. Chittenden brings her in this A.M. I put up horse at Grahams. XX Get home at 7. Find things at Tannery all right except as above.
