Try Burner today it dont work satisfactory. Date stays till dark. It stop working after date leaves. Prosser goes on to watch tonight. Geo Cummings works part of day. Brown works all day & quits tonight
DECEMBER TUESDAY 12 1876
Go to Tannery at 8 find Every thing in a Mess & burner not working. Go after Date to {Plumbs?}. Date comes down cant make it go. I abandon it, & make wood fire. Date says he wull send another Burner. & the castings {pc.?} will not cost me a cent, meaning Burners etc this Expenses
Prosser dont watch tonight weather so moderate
