19th of Sept 1895 The Jewis New Year Begins to Day Fine Put the Stump up in the Grove and took out an oak-stump then took it up to the upper Field took out an Elm stump Mr Genie helping us took up a Few Rows of Potatoes put some small ones in a Barrel or Puncheon put them in the Frame cellar

20th Fine Took up Potatoes Johny Morris and John H came to Fish at night had Pine Mr Genie went to Cornwall Gave him 5 Dollars to Get Provender took the apples From the Hill at the Wet Place E Wind

21st Fine W Wind the Boys took the 3 small Pigs Gave them a small sturgeon and the Fish they caught Last night Mr Genie came had the Provinder 5 Bags Putting in Potatoes about 20 Bushels in now
