James Cameron Island 23rd of March.

Ice opened today at Fran Island.

Lots of shooting away down east and south east.
 
Cleaned my gun and oiled it, 10 gallons in the house today.
 
25th, Lady Day annunciation.
 
Very mary a very fine day.
 
Went to the old house, took over an axe.
 
Took a lot of cans today, sap run well.

All Fools Day, rained.
