Sat 14. Marjorie & Paul went to Chippewa the took 3 1/4 of butter @ 24 85 & ½ doz eggs 14 cts bought the dishpan 25 pepper 5 sugar 25 tea 15 chamber 30. I made a cake & 5 pumkin pies & a saucer pie for the youngsters they took the bran up to McCredies, 7 when they got their dinner they took the cows out could only keep them out for an hour on account of the snow it came down so fast, almost like rain I made a nice bran mash for Topsy when she came home all covered with snow. (I went down & swept the schoolhouse)

Sun 15 The ground all covered with snow but not so cold snowing at times through the day. Arthur went to Riexingers a big chunk burned all night & the kitchen looks so comfortable.

Mon 16. snowing at times a little sunshine & very dark at times I churned & worked the butter 5 lbs 3/4. The Reeb youngster birthday party Marguerite did not go to school her shoes are so thin & no rubbers Gordon went all day at noon the snow came so thick you could not see far ahead of you. Teu 17 Old Mrs Buchners 90 today a beautiful day sunshine all day but the west wind is chilluy a man around looking at the turkeys Paul cleaned out the barn & drawed the boards to the house I cleaned the hen house out & put boards overhead I carried two pails of water for pickles but did not make it. Wed 18 Mrs. Riexinger visiting at Wells. Marjorie washed a big washing a line of colored clothes she put the white clothes to soak over night. Paul went to Harvey Dells to see about corn, He took up the little red hive & I took the honey out. There was 25 lbs in it, a beautiful day just enough wind to dry the clotjes. I swept the school house & dusted it & came home & milked the cows. Paul not home yet the children had the cows out.

Thur 19 I got up & blacked the stove & made both fires. Mrs. Harvey Dell is comeing. I swept & cleaned the oil cloth on my knees made a pie & grape tarts. Marjorie swept the kitche & pealed the potatoes & mashed them set the table the children guarded the cows All the forenoon & night they brought the corn Arthur ploughing

Friday 20 such a grand day, Marjorie put out the white clothes & baked bread. I churned & worked the butter kept some for ourselves & put 3½ for Kester. I cleaned up the lumber where the turkeys roost & swept the schoolhouse. Will went in to Chuppewa with chickens, got half lb tea 15 in money. The children had the cows out

Sat 21 Everything white with the heavy frost. paul took Marjorie to Chippewa to go to Clifton took 3½ of butter @ 24.91 got Marguerite rubbers 60 cts. matches 5 soda 5 bromogumme 25 coal oil 9 candy 5. I made two apple pies & grape tarts & a cake. boiled pickle & made apple sauce

Sun 22 I got up made both fires. fed chicken & turkeys gave both calves their drink washed dishes & separater. The young ones went to church Paul milked
