Aug 1st I called at John C Kennys on to Geo Breckons then to Jas Blairs & to Jims had dinner went back to Blairs down to LJ Chapmans on to Leslie Kendricks then to Lyndhurst 5 cts for line & hook on home Patience the two young lads & I went fishing have tonight $95.41 cts was a nice day

2nd I went up to Moultons for Mary we stayed to JIms to day I went down to Andys in eve stayed alnight was a nice day

3rd We got up early piled some wood & started for Rattand came by Elgin I gave Frank Hallidays children 30 cts we had our dinner with us had tea & loging at Mr Murphys a cts for 3 ledpencils was a nice day

4th I paid Mr Murphy in full $250 cts we had dinner at Henary Medcalfs came to Westport called called on Mr WH Bilton he paid me for lettering $700 sent a letter to Rose Gamble 42 card to Pat Y 3 cts went to Marys mother was there Kenneth & I went out to Lester Batemans back to Westport I saw him here had tea at Mr Brennans 50 cts gave Kenneth 10 cts came on to Newboro have tonight $10000 cts

5th I paid Geo Preston 75 cts wrote a letter to Mr Geo Taylor Will McGuire 10 cts for stamps 25 cts for white lead 30 cts for 1/2 bu of oats called on Mrs Geo Johnson & David Young sold him a $1900 Job on to Portland got & order from WH Galahar Gallagher $10000 mon fo JJ Brown 10 cts for {illegible}
