18th took in1 Bushel of Butternuts for the First Beech nuts fell Last night with the wind took in some cranBerries Began to Thrash the Pease Thrased about 2 Bushels and Fanned them Lashey crofsed to Harpers made a Paddle for himself Mr Harper a young Daughter

19th Thrashed the rest of the Pease Lashey came took in the Beets as the cows is Destroying them

20th Fanned the Last of the Pease about 3 Bushels Took up 5 Bushels of Potatoes High Wind thats 16 Bushels of Potatoes in the cellar now a Raffle at Lauries to night

21st St Mathew Took in 2 Bushels of Potatoes made Preserves of Cranberries 6 lb and 6 of sugar thats 12 lb and 3 lb of Western Berries and 3 of Sugar that 6lbs of them 18 lb in all Lashey went to Fish Made a Minno Line for me Tanning his Deer skin Mowing a Little shot 3 Ducks the Water very Low But it is Raising this Evening the Mice Playing the Devil with the Potatoes eating them

Fixing the Pine stick in the Bay High Nor West Wind Lashey crofsed Took up 4 Bushels of Potatoes a tin Kettle of nuts caught a Squirrel in the Trap on the Butternut tree

26th Took in the Last of the Marsh hay 15 coils took up all the Potatoes Before the Door 30 Bushels in the cellar now From Before the House

27th Fishing Perch went to Charlies stopt all night Charlie to Lancaster Shelling the corn 50 lbs Fanned it with the Mill a Very Fine Day Henery Genie caught 14 sturgeon to night

28th came from Charlie's got From Henery 3 or 4 Loads of Powder shot and caps tooks some Tansey and Peppermint from Charlies Began to Take up the Potatoes in the Peice Below the House took in 3 1/2 Bushels Took up a Bushel for Christee Gave him some Tobacco Mary very sick

29th St Michaels Day a Fine Day Took in 3 Bushels of Potatoes Fired 2 shots at Ducks did not get them

30th cutting some of the Plumtrees took in 2 1/2 of Potatoes High Wind & Rain Shot a squirrel Took in a Kettle of Butternuts

1st of October Sunday Went around the Island

2nd Took in 3 1/2 of Potatoes Fishing Perch Lashey here told us Semos child was Buried to Day

3rd a Fortunate Day took in 3 Bushels of Potatoes Filled a Bag with Ashes a Big Raft going Down Lots of Canoes on the water to Day fixing the Bags Set My Traps for the first setting got2 Rats to night

4th Got a Rat Raining plaining Boards Christee here Gave him a Bushel of Potatoes Wild Geese Flying upwards set 9 Traps Got 1 to night and 1 in this Morning

5th Took in the Last of the Potatoes 6 Bushels about 50 Bushels in the cellar got 2 Rats Great Going of Boats

6th Went Down to help Charlie with his Potatoes put them in a heap
