5 Tuesday
Fine sunny day we worked at drain all day. Bella and Mary down town in PM got at Russells 5 yds @ 37 1/2 on afc at Phillips on afc potash 40 comb 35 malt {illegible} 25 paid for {gelatine?} 15 at Mennioes on afc paint 40 tacks 30 turpintine 10 vinegar 5 at Watts on afc paper neck 50 curtain poles 80. We took Jennie down to Ball game

Rain last night nearly all AM and in evening again very heavy at times. We put on screen door etc. I went down in PM in buggy got Willie's boots at McBeth 20

Fine day sunny and cloudy a few drops rain in P.M. Ross Newmand and William Gibson up all day finished corn thinned some turnips. Mother Mrs. Ritchie and Mrs. Forsythe up for tea. We got cream tartar 10 1 1/2 gal Am coal oil 38. 1 doz eggs Mrs. Ritchie 14 cultivator iron 30 cts
