May, 1926

5 Wednesday Cloudy & drizzly. Ella dug around some of the perrenials today, also did her ironing. The men worked at the fence. Walter's callers - George Snider, Irvin Shoemaker and Solomon Gingrich's son. The last of the snowbank in the garden disappeared today.

6 Thursday. Fine warm day. Walter & Vernon went to Elmira this morning and were making fence this afternoon. Ella cleaned the upstairs today. Tonight after supper we went over to Addison Reists.

7 Friday. Very warm. The men were building fence. Ella dug part of the garden and sowed parsley, peas, radishes, lettuce, beets carrots & onions. Willard Weaver was here for tea.

8 Saturday. Very warm. Turned cool this afternoon. The men were at the fence this a.m. and picked stones this p.m. Walter took off the storm windows and doors. Mr, & Mrs. Sim. Weaver and Menno Horst visited us tonight. Vernon helped Reists take cattle to Elmira.
