6 Wensday Sep 27 / 05 fine Father plowed in morning & He & I hauled 6 lds mangels in afternoon Geo pulled mangels all day I went to town bgt dry goods. 29c. recd $18650 for prize money from Toronto. 18650
4 Thursday 28th fine Geo Pulling mangels. Father choring & helping load mangels. I went for beef our beast was in this time. I am to pay $3840 for it I pd Mr Geo Henderson $2000 prize money the amt was $1900 went to town sent $665 to A.R. Simpson to pay for bed, then I bgt hardware 40c, got horse shod. 75c
