Wednesday 17th May We had a {illegible} rain last night and it was dripping a little when I got up this morning so we did not get to the farm very early. Hubert and Hallie went to tho Hallie did not go till after dinner. Perkins was there with his pump so I had to help him all day. Hubert, Perkins, Bill at the hen house and cleaned the {?} out of the house. Joby had to help both of us. It has been a beautiful glowing day {next sentence illegible}.
