January, 1927

11 Tuesday. Fine and cold. Walter went to Sim's and Linc's this morning and to Moses Reists sale this afternoon. Vernon was drawing manure. Callers - Harvey Reist, Andrew & Norman Henderson, Norman Atkinson and Whitney Fenton.

12 Wednesday Cold & raw. Walter butchered 2 pigs at Otto Miller's today and killed a beef when he got home. Vernon was drawing manure. Annie Schneider and her two cousins Edna & Margaret Walter from Wallace visited Ella and were here for tea. Other callers - Enoch & Irwin Schneider & Geo. Edler.

13 Thursday Milder. Snowed all day. Walter shipped hogs and attended Sam Weber's funeral. Ella visited at Edmund Schwindts and we were all there for supper and the evening.
