April, 1927.

5 Tuesday. Showery & drizzly. We butchered a pig here for Art. Tutton. Our company tonight - Mr. & Mrs. Wesley Miller, Mr. Noah Miller, Charles Miller, Walter Adler, Cornelius Klassen.

6 Wednesday. Clear & windy this morning. Showers this p.m. Ella did her washing. Walter attended the Annual Business Meeting at the church this morning. Callers tonight - Noah Miller, Clarence, Lloyd & Russell Farncombe.

7 Thursday. Clear and cold. Walter shipped hogs at Elmira. Lincoln Weaver came down with his team and wagon and he and Vernon were drawing wood into the woodshed till dinner-time. Ella boiled soap this afternoon.

8 Friday. Cold. Nasty east wind. The men finished filling up the woodshed with wood. Vernon & Ella walked over to Reists' tonight and had some taffy.
