29 Friday. Fair. Walter & Dad were working at the chicken house. Vernon was sowing this forenoon and harrowing this p.m.

30 Saturday. Clear. Cold wind blowing Walter & Dad were working at the chicken house. Vernon was harrowing Walter took Grandpa Krauter home after supper tonight. Oscar Vogt and Peter Mattusch were buried at Elmira this afternoon.

May. 1927.

1 Sunday. Clear. Cold wind. Vernon & Ella went to church & S. School this afternoon. Walter attended Walter Snider's funeral at the house at Conestoga and to the service in the Bloomingdale church. He went down with Eph. Snyder. Our company for supper - Mr. & Mrs. Colson Jefferson Roy and Lois.
