May, 1927.
5 Thursday. Cloudy & rather cool. Walter shipped hogs at Elmira this a.m. and was sowing Mammoth Cluster Oats, fertilizer and grass seed this p.m. Vernon was plowing. Ella planted the early potatoes in the garden, also her peas. Walter brought home 210 chicks from Elmira.
6 Friday. Fair and cool. Walter was sowing and Vernon was plowing. Vernon dug the two flower beds at noon. Walter went to Creekbank and to choir practice tonight. Callers - Geo. Snider and T.B. Meyer.
7 Saturday. Fine and warmer. The men were plowing today and Vernon harrowed tonight after tea.
8 Sunday. Cool and windy. Mr. Bean's last Sunday at Woolwich Rev. Wagner of Alberta preached today. Mr. Knechtal of Kitchener, sang. Our company for tea - Mr. & Mrs. Albert Krauter, Mr. & Mrs. Emerson Krauter, Marie & Erla. Mr. & Mrs. Sim Weaver visited us tonight.
