May, 1927.

17 Tuesday. Changeable. Rain tonight. Walter brought 3 loads of gravel from Louis Miller's. Vernon was gang plowing. Ella did her washing and planted her gladioli bulbs. Orpha Miller visited Ella this afternoon.

18 Wednesday. Cold & windy Vernon & Ella finished digging the garden today. Walter was drawing gravel. Vernon plowed this p.m. Grandpa Krauter came tonight to help build the garage. Callers tonight - Mr. & Mrs. Wesley Miller, and Mr. & Mrs. Wm. Feil.

19 Thursday. Cold & drizzly. Walter shipped hogs at Elmira. They started making the wall for the garage today. Ella cleaned the little parlor Callers - Sam Thompson, Ewart Davidson Addison Reist & Irvin Schneider.

20 Friday. Fine sunshiny day. The men worked at the garage. Ella cleaned her bedroom. Callers - Noah Miller, Eva Schneider & Geo. Schneider
