August, 1927.


18 Thursday. Fair and cool. Walter shipped hogs this a.m. and they were cutting grain this p.m. Norman Snyder's brought Aunt Barbara up here tonight.

19 Friday. Cloudy & dull. The men were cutting & stocking all day.

20 Saturday. Fine and warm. The men were cutting & stocking.

21 Sunday. Ideal deal. Walter, Vernon & Aunt Barbara went to church this morning, to Lincoln Weavers for dinner and Peter Schimcht for tea. Ella went to Belfountain, Erina, Credit Forks, Caledon Hills, etc with {Hilliand?}.

22 Monday. Fair and warm. Walter finished cutting grain today. Walter & Ella took Aunt Barbara down to Emerson's and were there for tea.

23 Tuesday. Dull with rain this p.m. Walter & Vernon were threshing at Enoch's today. Mr. Louis Miller visited Ella this p.m. and stayed for tea. We were at an ice cream feed at Harvey Schmidt's tonight.
