September, 1927.
23 Friday. Cold. Walter cut the buckwheat and Vernon plowed. Walter went to church with Eph's.
24 Saturday. Hard frost last night. No damage done here. Walter dug post holes and Vernon plowed. We went over Ezra's to see Bert. She had her tonsils out last {Tues.?}
25 Sunday. Fair. We went to church & S.S. today. Mr. & Mrs. Albert Krauter were here for dinner. We were at Geo. Schwindts for supper.
26 Monday. Fair. The men plowed. Israel Lichty fixed the roof on the house.
27 Tuesday. Dull, measly, foggy day. Grandpa Maurer was here all day and helped to stretch some wire fence. Vernon helped cut corn at S.Bird's.
28 Wednesday. Heavy rain this morning. We went to the School Fair at Winterbourne also called on Adler's.
29 Thursday. Dull. Thunderstorms & heavy rain this afternoon. Walter shipped hogs and Vernon plowed. Max & Louis {Bieman?} were here for supper.
30 Friday. Very windy. Walter helped cut corn at Earl's until the cutting box broke. Clarence O. Bean of Kitchener was here for dinner.
Born - On Sept. 24. at Balsam Grove, to Mr. & Mrs. Emerson Krauter, a son, Roy Milton.
