October, 1927

19 Wednesday. Cold & windy. Walter & noah miller went to guelph this morning and noah was here for dinner. Walter took another load of flax to Floradale this p.m. Vernon plowed

20 Thursday. Cold & windy. Walter shipped hogs.Ella went as far as Milton {name?} with him. and they were there for dinner. Lincoln, Edna, Doris, Howard, & Lila were here for dinner & supper.

21 Friday. Clody, cold & windy. The men topped the mangels Walter & Ella went to League & {name?}

22 Saturday. Fine and milder. The men brought in the mangel. 8 big loads today.

23 Sunday. Beautiful day. we had our S.S. Rally & Harvest Home at {Woolwich?} and the church was crowded. Bishop Seager of La Mars, Iowa and RW. Guenther of Alguin spoke. The Bridgeport Orchestra finished the music. Our company for tea - Mr % Mrs Isreal Shoemaker, Ella, Angus, Isaac, Clarence & Cecil, Mr. & Mrs. Ezra Maurer, Mr. & Mrs. Norman Snider, Mr. & Mrs. Wm. Hahn and Isaac Lachman.

24 Monday . Wonderful day. Ella did her washing. The men were topping turnips.
