He gave me a large package of candies & some oranges & telling me all about the wedding up at Walpole he & Gertie attended.

Mon 6th.. Jan / 90. I baking. so nothing else happened except Alfs man cut his foot & Mr Alton over to bind it up I bound it up first. Alf away it election day.

Tues 7th.. Jan / 90. In morn Had Mrs Geo Alton call & Mrs Joseph too to see baby. Phil & Gertie hear & us cutting up when Dr Buck & Herbert from Milton came to see Ed sore foot. I rather tired as I washing.

Wed 8th.. Ironing. I got ready & went over to Philuos' Gertie alone but Josie & Lila there. Us having a sing. I stayed for tea Mr & Mrs Alton home for tea. Then we had another sing & Phil came home with me. Very cold.

Thur 9th.. Jan Geo Alton & Mr Geo McCarley came in evening. Had accordian music & mouth organ too. It 10 & to bed.

Frid 10th.. Butchering Baking & sweeping. Phil came over I glad he did for it so lone some Had a good talk It 10. when he went. Then I got Alf breakfast ready after ch{ores?}

Sat 11th.. Jan Alf & Mr Alton drove to Hamilton with pigs etc. It rained nearly all day. Alf said Maria W. was in Hamilton.

Sun 12th.. Nice day. Phil came over in A.M. to see if I would go to Bronte then he went home & got ready & we started about 10. Got there at 12. Had a nice drive & they got dinner rather glad to see us. Lois Jones there boarding while teaching school. M.L. E.M. Jane & I went to S.S. Mr Hallet superintendant & it much better. Stayed for church all choir there but Charlotte Phil & Ida & Lois came together. Had splendid sermon & good singing Walked over to corner with Bertha then Dave caught up to us & came in with Phil. We had a small sing then Dave went home to do chores but I told him to come back after wards so we had tea & I going to light fire in parlor when Dave sitting in arm chair alone. He & I sang & couldn't get the rest to have a sing as they planning who was to go
