January, THURSDAY, 16

Men choring and drawing out manure. Brock met me at night train. {name?} and Sadie here in evening. Mother up to Ray's to see Harry. He sick with flu. Fine bright day.

FRIDAY, 17

Me choring. finished drawing out manure and bought in a load of corn. Brock up to Rays in evening. Fine but not very bright. Had a leter from Betty saying that Robt. Alvies is dead.

SATURDAY, 18

Men choring and chopped nine bags in afternon. Brock and I to town at night. Bill {Gaso?} here for dinner. Mild and foggy.

SUNDAY, 18

Brock to church at night. Pa up to Ray's to see how Harry was. Fine bright day.
