Men choring and chopping in forenoon. Pa sifting ashes in P.M. We to Mrs. Leo Shant funeral in afternoon. Dull morning. Quite a leary rain in afternoon and evening. foggy.

ASH WEDNESDAY (Quebec & N.W.T.) WEDNESDAY, 5

Choring and drawing out manure. Brock and I over to {name?} in Evening. Quite a fall of snow in night cold north wind and blustry at times
