August THURSDAY, 14
Brock chopping and moving straw to make room for grain. Brock took waggon to town in afternoon too get tires set. Da cleaning and spraying hen house. Mr. + Mrs. Thompson brought Evelyn up to stay a week. rained through the night fine afternoon.
FRIDAY, 15
Cutting and shocking back by bush. Fine and warm. Evelyn weighs 58 lbs. Lillian - 66 " Olive 100 "
SATURDAY, 16
Terrible hail storm Getting ready to draw in. Got the load of wheat in little patch in morning. Then it came on a little rain Went back after diner for load of barely and {just?} got up when a heavy rain + wind storm started with thunder & lightening and a little hail. Terrible storm in Drayton hail as large as eges. Brock, Evelyn + I town in evening.
SUNDAY, 17
Brock to church at night Cloudy and very heavy storms going round. We had a little rain in the morning and in evening.
