23. Fine cool day. A large congregation. A good sermon from Rev. A. Scott
24. Birdie and I went to pick berries at Lander's. Got 9 quarts. Very hot. Marion and Lizzie wheeled to D. B. McLennan and got home about 11 P.M.
25 Very hot. I washed
26 To 3 lbs butter at McCrimmons tick. Jimie Brown came at 8:30 P.M. Was on first train passed Lancaster, taken by Cotan. Came back on Mocasson. wheeled here. Murdy went to meet him at 6. Hot very Hot
27. Rain storm this morning, now 11:40 A.M. bright with high wind. Pa paid Account at McCrimmons. flour 200, butter twice 73. coal oil 20. lye 20. sugar 25. + 200 + 25 + 20 + 20 + 48 = 3.38 1 tin lye 10. cream tartar 10 = 20
28 Fine day, pretty warm. J. A. B. got a wheel from Eatons yesterday. it was too high. he sent it back today. To 3 1/2 lb stew B{risn?} 1 box of starch 15. sugar 25. Pa sold some oats to McCrimmon. Two Members of Parliament died within this month. Ives of Sherbrook, Geoffrion Vercheres, Senator Sanford of Hamilton died this Month July. Sir James Edgar Speaker of the House died, tonight - 31.

1 Tuesday. The Ban girls and Bruce were here last night, And we enjoyed their company very much

3. Our folk & Lizzie went to the S.S. pic nic. Jimie Brown did not go. Donald McIntyre Kings Road was buried today Mr. Jack McPherson moved into old Post office today. J.C. by 2.50
