November 1900

10 Saturday, Jimie left for Cornwall, expects to be home tomorrow morning. Murdy put in some roots
11. Jimie did not come home today. The 59th Batallion are to march to the English church
12 Cold and raw. Jimie got home in morning, D. H McDonald paid $100 on Saturday evening. Bellimere & Ferguson came to our farm barn to thrash for the 15st bush, they are to board themselves. Alick Stevenson, And Cariboo Cameron, are working with them. To 2 1/2 lbs steak 25 cts. 5 lb neck 20 cts Bot at McCrimmon's 1 bottle Eclectric oil 20 lozenges 5 Paid 50 cts for sugar & coal oil which I got on the 1st 45 25 50
13 Jimie went to Cornwall this afternoon
14 It snowed last night And is raw today Mrs Kennedy washing 25.. 2 bars soap 10 cts 50
15. Cold day. To 1 gall coal oil at Willies 23 They finished thrashing about 11. A.M. thrashed 49 bush Pa gave Murdy 3.00 to part pay men 23
16. Murdy has a very bad cold. And so has Marion Pa went out today.
17. Rain & snow Murdy in bed all day. Pa went to post office. Got his bill from Dr. Mowat $1500 paid 10 = due 5. Jimie came at 5 P.M.
18 Rain all day. not very cold, just ugly
19 Snow last night. Jimie left for Cornwall 8..A.M. walked to the station. Rained and hailed now 9. P.M. pouring rain. Stabled the cows The first time this winter
20 Sleete. The trees are covered with snow And ice. A limb broken on a maple by the well showery all day. Bot from Martintown butcher 7 1/2 lbs steak 75 cts 5 lbs roast 42, soup bone 8 cts Pa. went to take 5 Oclock dinner with Aunt Kate 1.25

21. It was 8 P.M. when Pa got home last night he got qwet. And is not well today. It was raining in turns all day, now 8. P.M. the wind is blowing 60 miles an hour
22 73 miles an hour in Montreal. And is likely the same here. I went to see McCrimmon, who was hurt by his horse sunday night, he is badly bruised and cut. The wind in Montreal yesterday, was 83
23. Friday. 9. P.M. I went in forenoon for Birdie The roads are very bad. Got home about 7.30. P.M.
