| 27. | 8 days since I wrote. We had rain since the 24th. we planted potatoes on hill at barn Far & R.R. were down on Sunday 25th.. with Georde Athol McDonald's funeral. Mary & Lizzie were here also. We had 1 lb tea 30. sugar 25 Andrew McRain's youngest child was buried yesterday. And Duncan McDonald (Blacksmith) will be buried here tomorrow. Lotd Pauncepote British Ambassador at Washington died on Saturday. Aged 74 years. x 13 of which he spent in Washington. Greate excitement on account of the elections. Jimie was in Cornwall a week ago and got $100. for Pa. from D.B. McLennan | 55 |
