December {1905}

1 Friday. Fine day. Ball at McCrimmons Hall
2 Last night there came a friend And her husband to see us. they were going to the ball.

Alick Peters youngest daughter, wife of a Chisholm of North Lancaster. she was never in Williamstown befor, They came after the ball and remained until 11 A M they were both musical, we enjoyed their company greately

To steak 8 1/2 lbs 85 cts tick 5 loaves 25 Marion came at 7. P.M. she had a bad cold, Snowing.
3 Mr Green is home and preached. An ugly day rain and snow
4 snowing, some cutters on the road. Murdy away Ann Hall 1/2 day 25 Got 4 fresh eggs.
5 Soft thawing, Murdy away. Revising the votars list at the Council room.
6 Dull day. Marion is getting better of her cold
7 Womens meeting at John A's my offering $2.00. the next meeting at D. F's To 1/2 lb tea 20
8. Murdy away. Peculiar weather. It will snow for a while. then rain then frost.
9 Saturday, 1 gall coal oil 20 cts Murdy got home at 6 P.M. Pa paid stipin at Brown's
10 Soft snow And high wind, not many in church
11 Stormy, snow falling. To pan bread 20 cts 4 lb. Factory Mr & Mrs Brown in for a while.
12 Cold and a little snow. Butchered two cows Libby & a heifer, havee Morris Collette with them Paid 1.75 for Killing. I cleaned the bowels of fat
13 Sold hind qrter of Libby 140 at 6 cts.. = 8.40 do {ditto} do " " of heifer 100 = 6 = $6.00 Snowing, Murdy went to Cornwall. Pa wrote to D. B
14 Fine bright day. frosty. Murdy got home 10. A.M.

17 John P. & Birdie came home with Marion. I went to prayer meeting Mr Waddell of Aultsville preached in Morning and evening.
18 Dull misty day. heavy hoar frost last night Ann Hall 1/2 day. Sent to Eatons
19. Raw day. Bot at Willies, 11 lb. sugar. 55 2 lb lump sugr 1 lb. g. tea 25. 1 lb B. tea 35. Cinnamon 10 cloves 10. Cream Tartar 20 gall. coal oil 20. qrt molasses 15. 4 lbs raisins 25 1 lb currants 2 lb lard 30 1/4 gingar 10 6 lbs butter from Factory

Bot 5 lbs of apples from F Brauza 18 cts

Pa lost the filling of one of his butter teeth, went to Lancaster and got it fixed, $100

J.C.B. paid Pa $316..10. money Brown had at Interest

Paid the taxes $38.89 not including the farms

The things that we ordered from Eatons came today. I got 1 pair kid gloves 100 Felt boots 1.00. felt slippers 40. Bonnet trimming

Farquhar came to day to stay over Christmas. Jimie got rooled wheat at Lancaster 25. Pan bread 20. Very fine day.
