March 1889

1. Far went to Cornwall. I gave him an order on Leitch for all the money of mine in his hands he got $.85.. I gave it to himself for I was owing him 80. for the buggy. Far brought Mrs McCormick and her sister Moorah from Cornwall, to stay all night
2. MurI went today to Alexandria with. them
3 Sunday. Our Communion Sabbath a very fine day. quite a number out. Mr Grant of Summerstown preached on Friday. D.D. on Saturday F. Mifsion 1.50
4 Very fine day. I washed. sent a letter to Murdy with $.18. I borrowed 20 from Far
5 I went to see Peggy today. she is in her usual health. And that is not very good
6 I was not at Prayer Meeting. I was too late. I went to see Annie. Dr. Falkner had his baby baptized at Prayer Meeting. gave Ran 65 cts to pay Rubbers at J.A.'s 65
7. Got salt 11 lbs. cost 10 cts Womans meeting at Elders, ugly stormy day. I paid my yearly fee $100 monthly offer. 25 1.25
8 Cold & stormy. had a letter from Murdy yesterday
9 Done but the usual work. Birdie & I went to Auntie She is in her usual health
10 Preaching in the hall
11 A very nice Temperance Meeting Sent a letter to Murdy with $. 700 $3.00 to pay for the Star 7
12 I subscribed for a Copy of the Northern Messenger bound in soft cover. from Jimie Slack, $.50 50
13. Been a fine day, and the night is just lovely. Dr. Falkner was in to see Far, who has a touch of rheumatism. he left him four Dover powder, to be taken one every night., and sylinacic acid every four hours, and a teaspoon of salts every morning.
14 Dr. F was in this evening gave a linament to be rubbed on Far. The concert came off and was good. made 418.75 I borrowed from Far 25 cts and from Birdie 25 50 11 50
