December 1889

11 High wind. Jimie Brown came to tell me that Auntie was much worse. I went about 14 OClock. And she wanted to come over. Murdy took her over in the cutter. I had to put poultis on her
12 Auntie a little better today. sat up all afternoon
13 Auntie very unwell have to poultise her back and chest
14 Still keeping on the poultis
15 Took off poultis Far brought Aunt 1 bottle brandy 1.50
16 Aunty coughs and spits a greate deal. blood and mucus. Murdy was Kick by Jetty this forenoon in the breast - we sent for Dr Falkner he examined him and put on a bandage
17 Auntie was very poorly until evening She began to mend. Susy Foulton & Lilly McDonell called after night Murdy was out this afternoon Falkner called three times
18 Very fine soft day. Auntie much better Sent a letter to Jimie and $500 5--
19 Raining today. Pa bot 10 lbs, oatmeal at Gusty's = 40 cts two weeks ago 40
20 Rained all night we got the cistern full of water Jimie came home he was wet as a duck
