17 Saturday. Farmers Institute met here today had two Sessions. one from 2 till 5 P.M. The other from 7 till 10 P.M. I was at the evening one The
18 A pretty large congregation Mr McRae and there daughters were in church. he led the singing Morning & evening
19 Monday. Auntie is pretty well today
20 We all went to hear the McRae's last night paid 1.75. the Lodge meets tonight
21 Wednesday. The Annual meeting of the Agricultural society met here today And they agreed to hold two fair yearly, one here and one at Alexana {Alexandria} we subscribed for the Canada Farmer 100 pr year
22 Began to rain today and is raining yet 4 P.M. We had to Kill the {Sam?} cow today she was putting out her inside Bird writing to Sandy Hugh Ann came last night and gave me a present of a white apron
23 Sabbath School entertainment quite a large gathering of people. The children done well There was a Mr Casson from Montreal who gave an object lesson to the children. he had a number of candles and tallow & wax and compared their light to Christians. And showed how drink would put out a Christians light "by putting a bottle over the flame of the candle
24 I am trying to make a little soap today
25 Had tooth ache all night. I went to Church thinking the Prohibition petition would be signed
