July 1891

15 The W.F.M.{Womens Foreign Mission} met in the Hall this afternoon And done a little work. I paid 25 to the G.T. {Good Templers sic Templars} Monday night. Got two papers of D. Dye 1 orange 1 red 20 cts. It raind some, this afternoon
17 Old Mrs McLennan D. J.'s mother) died Wednesday afternoon after a short illness. She was buried here this evening. I colored carpet rags today. We got 20 lbs sugar charged at Willie's 100 And a file for Mowing knife I took 3 1/4 lbs steak from Carr, charged Our boys are going to Huntington tomor to play lacrosse
18 I forgot to write of the banquet the village gave McCormick on the 16th at Sullivans, the toasts were drunk with cold water. {written in red ink} some one took away the ink so I must write with red. The boys went off at 5 Walter Slack took them to Lancaster and went for them in the evening It rained through the day and in the evening {end of red ink}
19 It rained a good deal last night and is raining some today.
20 Dull, Pa came home about 4 P.M.
21 Boys cut some hay.
22 Wednesday I boiled black currants and raspberries. Got 18 lb granulated sugar at Willie's $100 charged Got 6 qrts berries. 5 = 30. 1/2 lb tea 25. 1/2 lb tea 5 yest 10 Codfish 30. bread & buns 25 postage 1 90 56
23 It began to rain, the boys got 1 load of hay in then it rained all day
24 Fair in forenoon, Cousin Jimie came home by the mail. He got a watch for Randolyn
