{7 cont.} about 10 P.M. R.R. is the conservative nominee. Archy McArthur the Liberal
8 Far did not get home yet 1 lb tea 45.
9 We had to borrow cutter & harness from John A's to send for Marion sugar Mrs McCarthy Priest died last night 50
10 Not a very large congregation
11 Murdy went to Cornwall
12 Priest McCarthy buried today
13 No Prayer Meeting Given gone to the S.S. Convention in Cornwall Far came home sick of Grippe
14 The Election took place. Far was in Gore as poll clerk Jimie in the village as poll clerk. R.R. is in again
15 I did not sit up to see the bonfire last night, but there was one. We heard by this day's papers that Duke of Clara. & Avondale (eldes son of the Prince of Wales) died yesterday. Jan. 14th. And Cardinal Manning.
16 Saturday
17 A small congregation. I called to see Mrs McGruer & Mrs Roussa.
18 Mrs Roussa died today. 82 year. Marion went to school today.
19 Children's entertainment
20 Wednesday. Mrs Roussa was buried today it is very frosty. Mercury down to 30. I went to Willie Slacks little Muriel who is very ill, of Bronchittis. A Mr McKae was to be here tonight start a singing school but did not come.
21 It turned soft and snowed some Murdy got home tonight. Brown went to see his daughter
