| 1 | Friday. We are in a greate hurry. the Lawn Social at the Manse this evening. | |
| 2 | The Social was quite a success. A great number present. began to serve tea at 6.40: And got through at 8.40, then all marched to the Hall, with Archy McGregor going before playing the pipes. There was very good singing. Dr & Mifses Falkner, May McDonall, D.J. Fraser, Mr Given was chairman A.J. Grant spoke first then R.R. the spheech of the evening was by Principal Grant. We were all there but Murdy. I bot pan bread Pa's pants cost $600 Ran came home this eveniing, Got 3 tickets for Lawn Social 75 berries & cream | 95 |

There was a Willie Johnson drowned in the village today. fell out of a boat Above Burritts blacksmith shop 2 loaves 15. Gave Jim & Ran each 25 for the pic nic for the {?} Murdy got me 15,.75 at L. & P. |
