26 {cont.} sermon which I hope will do a good deal of good. The weather is still fine There was hard frost and cold wind for a few days
27 Luby & Katy came home this morning Pa drove Birdie to Summerstown. there was a pretty heavy shock of earthquake about 11.30 A.M. it rattled all the dishes on the table Murdy is not so well today. pains in his back and legs
29 30 St Andrews day. Very fine. I had Harriet washing The oldest inhabitant does not remember a finer November. the cattle were picking up most of their food and ploughing went on until all was done. in the Spring farmers will only have to harrow
