14 Another fine day. The roads are pretty good. {name} {illegible} two loads of green wood. Alick Laroque & Louis Courier are cutting, 2 feet in length 50 cts pr cord. A pretty good {illegible} on the rink last night. Pan bread. 20

17 Very fine day. Alice Roosevelt, U.S. Presidents daughter married to Senator Longworth {symbol - for bought?} flour 1.65_ pan bread 20, rooled wheat 25 2 10
18 Fine day. Not many in church

20 Dull. Murdy went to 7th of Kenyon, sold 5 doz eggs, {symbol - for bought?} 1/2 Bk tea 20, 1/2 1 Gn tea 25, cream tartar 10_ two menthol plasters 40 cts_ Barber came on Monday 19th 55
21 Began to rain last evening an was thawing all day. Murdy got home about 10 P.M. yesterday
22 Charming day, looks like April weather, roads almost bare
23 Ditto Pa bot a four lb haddock 20 cts
24 Double do The roads are not fit for traffic
25 Dull, looks like rain no preacher, Mr. Elder gave a short address.
26 Cold, some snow fell. Ann Hall 1/2 day. Murdy coil oil 20. John Kennedy called to see if I had any thing to send to Marion, he is going to Syracuse tomorrow to see Clara. 25
27 Fine and bright. Cold N. wind. 6th Anniversary of the surrender of Cronge at Paadeburgh.
28 Ash Wednesday. Very cold. Alick McDonell paid 2.50 for rent.
This has been a fine month just like April weather.
