16. The contest was going on for over {blank} month. Ensley MacIntyre had the highest number.
17 Cold and raw. Got at Willie's molasses 20 yeast 5 G sugar 25. B sugar 10. Cr Tartar 10 1 orange 4 1 doz herring 25 25 49
18 Sunday expecting people tomorrow
19 Fine day. no visitors
20 Fine day To 2 loaves 12. Sent a letter to Marion
21 Murdy left for Cornwall. Jimie drove him to Lancaster
22 To N 1/2 lb B. tea 20 I cut my hand today sawing a squash. And I wrote the items since the 18th that is how they are so bad.

Mrs Govin got from Major General Govin Scotland a small school I sent $6.00 4 for ground $2.00 in envelope. 1.50 for the qrtr Stipend 50 cts.. their niece Grace Grant came for the Childrens (28) Dull. had Ann Hall 1/2 day. gave her 25 owe her over 5 Mr John paid 2.50 Laviolette 29 Murdy left for Spring Creek north of Alexandria
