Thurs 11 Rain I picked all my black currants about 2 qts. and about 1 qrt red I mashed the red into two bottlesand put sugar on them, Did not boil

Mon 15 Anne 70. coal oil 25. Had new hot water boiler

Col I was washing the supper dishes. Freighters Greek and Ship Oman popped in. They remained until 8.30 P.M. After they left—Mrs Dunker called, she is passing over the death, by drowning of her son Alex. Livingston on the H.M.S. [ineligible ] ships cattle being torpedoed by a German sub. 90 miles off the Irish coast. The Hospital ships was returning from Halifax after bringing out Canadians and soldiers. There was over 240 on board

Tues 16 Kind of dull. I finished cutting the [ineligible] oats in the garden. There is a social to-night on two Miracle Leaves late Road Cross a light shower about 8 P.M. 2 leaves

Wed 17 Rain today. The Social was a success took in over 2.00 spent 2.40
