May, 1928.

14 Monday. Beautiful warm day. Vernon was rolling and Walter was drawing manure. Ella did her washing this morning and dug a piece along the garden fence and sowed lupine seed also planted some Golden Bantam corn. Tonight Walter went to a finance meeting at the church with Mr. Moldenhauer and Mrs. Moldenhauer spent the evening with Ella.

15 Tuesday. Lovely warm day. Vernon was rolling and Walter was drawing manure this a.m. This p.m. they were both plowing. Ella finished digging the perennial border, Callers tonight - Osias Bauman & Harvey Reist

16 Wednesday. Showery this p.m. The men planted the potatoes and plowed today. Ella cut the potatoe for planting and sowed hollyhocks, digitalis and aquilegia in the border.
