Tuesday 17th Nov /08. Will trimmed sheep in morning W Batty & I went to Henderson for Cattle and took them up to Tom’s and five heifers to be fed for $4 per month each & to be kept in as good shape as last year. Bred E.P. Pride to E.P. Ringleader, 3rd. We killed old nell in afternoon, and skinned her & put her meat away for hens for winter.
Wensday 18th fair & soft. Both men hauled manure all day. I went to town paid note in Bank of Commerce. $450 Int $1.60 Int. $11. 85 Paid. C.H. Hughes for Coal $58.75. Pd Dr George account $5.50 mother $2.25 $3.00 sold horse hide and 4 sheep skins $3.00 sold 13 cockerels for 75¢ each. Recd on account $5.00 bot Oatmeal $1.35. bot. C.O. {oil?} 90¢ sent $5.00 to W.H. Durham Box 1052. Toronto. on Mr McGregor's a/c bred E.P. Keepsake to Magnificent
Thursday 19th fine. I finished plowing sod & Will started to plow rape ground. Stewart McIntosh & Mr McEwing of Seaforth: came to see our cattle on their way to Mr Sharp's Sale.
Friday 20th fine. I went to Sharp's Sale. Mary. J. Bessie & {Baby?} to {Clerk's?}. {Die?} & W Batty chored Will. Plowed Flowers {10¢?}
