Wensday 9th Dec /08 fine. we attended show. had one cow killed E. P. Pride 3rd she dressed about 64% weighed 1540 alive and 976 carcase.
Thursday 10th fair. I attended show cattle and went to Banquet in the evening Ticket. $1.50 it was a very satisfactory. sold a bull yesterday to Wm Binnie and Wm Kennay. of Erin. For $150.00 to be delivered soon
Friday 11th Dull & damp. we attended stock & took grist to mill of Oat peas & barley we won 3rd prize on carcase sold carcase for $8.75 - $85.40
Saturday. 12th fine. Will & W.B. cut wood and I went to mill for chop and bgt a load of Barley. @ 51¢ per bu. 51 bu 37 lb D. 51¢ = $26.40 I recd prize money from show $8.00 money for carcase $85.40 pd w. Batty 5.00 axe handle. 30¢
Sunday 13th fair. Mary & Children & I went to church in morning. heard rev. Dr Williamson preach on "Gods love for to the children."
Monday 14th fair & soft. Will & W.B. hauled wood. I chored and I went to town to mail letters saw Geo Henderson. his steers weighed 1020 gave him for beasts. I went to Anniversary in evening with all children col 40¢.
